Location, location, location. What can I say. I’ve been spoiled with good locations. Monterey is a two hour drive from the family house. With its scenic beaches, colourful history and bevy of restaurants and cafes, it was the ideal spot for romance with lovers and to help friends through breakups. In more recent years the aquarium has become the draw for my scientist hubby and marine loving son.
It is not uncommon to see otters and whales and seals and dolphins swimming around the bay so a little advice: always bring binoculars and a wind breaker.
