Lough Key Forest Park
This is the premier place to come and get your whimsy on. It’s practically an emporium for it. You can swing through trees in the zip line adventure park, kayak on the lake, take breathtaking walks through the woods spying all kinds of old walls and bridges that evoke the sense of fairies and elves and dare I say leprechauns too. There’s even a canopy walk through a sky bridge featuring information on the indigenous flora. You can also partake in the thrilling Boda Borg, which is one of the most exciting things I’ve ever done. Too fast paced for pictures, unfortunately. For us, it was worth driving three hours back to this enchanting park in order to have two weekends in a row of fun.
Next time, we will camp as there are ample grounds and facilities for it.
