I had one of my favourite meals of all time here. Lavender, honey, apple risotto. I promise you it wasn’t sweet. It was savory and delectable. It was at a place called Ria’s Trattoria, which had to close unfortunately. But the clever chef is currently focusing her culinary wizardry on chocolate at a place called Toc.
We drove up from Varese a few times. One time, we had to circle back as the motorway was closed, after 40 minutes of sitting in traffic. The fog was so thick that it was impossible to see and there had been a terrible accident. It’s good to note that on Sunday evenings, traffic is always crazy with folks heading back to Milano. And Saturday mornings can be tricky too as said Milanese are heading to Torino for the weekend.
I love walking around this city. Both the Egyptian Museum and the Automobile Museum are well worth visiting, and demanding of repeats. Here are a few snaps of a Sunday walk about the city and a visit to the Egyptian Museum.
