Venezia is definitely in my top ten favourite cities. I don’t even have to pause to think about it, and it never gets budged off the list. I love the glass everywhere, the mosaic advertisements cemented into the ground, the waving water and the reflections of lights in it, the gondolas and the bridges. I used to complain about the crowds but then Covid hit and the crowds diminished. It was bitter sweet to practically have the place to ourselves.
