I am deeply appreciative of cheap airlines that make the cost of a flight comparable to dinner out at a nice restaurant, and extremely grateful for digital photography. Before the revolution when I frequented the backpacker’s trails, I spent the equivalent of a luxurious first class trip around the world on film, processing, reprints and albums.
Eventually, I’ll get around to digitizing boxes of travelogues and photographs from my major treks through Southern Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific and more of Europe. For now, I have posted some light entries about a bevy of cities and places I’ve visited either for holidays or on the tail end of biz trips. I rarely journal when I’m traveling with my family as it’s too hard to carve the time out, so the pictures serve as reminders and refreshers.
