The City of Lights never disappoints!

I’ve had spells of monthly business trips, the odd wedding, and visits to my son’s wonderful godmother. Paris is only a short flight away from any place I’ve lived in Europe, and the airlines offer great deals. As a matter of fact, I once flew from Shannon to Paris for only 6 euro!
Techno Music Parade
One weekend in September of 2011, my friend and I took a long walk and stumbled across a techno music parade. It was as colourful and spirited as it was loud. My ears are still ringing!
Euro Disney
Christmas in 2013. We were staying in temporary corporate accommodation as part of a work contract while we found a longer term solution. It was a nice enough space but not a place to spend the holidays so we decided to do something magical to cap off an amazing year. Four days at Euro Disney.
It rained almost non-stop and sometimes the lines were too long and there were not enough kiosks to buy hot drinks, our feet were tired and our clothes and skin were well soaked, but other than that it was all mirth and madness.
Montmarte
Afterwards, to soften the blow of leaving the happiest place on Earth, we had a few days in Montmarte compliments of our dear friend who left us the keys to her flat as she was out of town. Being a big fan of the movie Amélie (Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain), I was happy to meander around the neighbourhood looking for locations used in the film.
