Victoria Island, Canada

For years I listened to my husband tell me he wanted to live in Canada. I don’t blame him of course. If you can get past the weather, it seems like utopia. The problem was/is, we’ve never really been there. So, a few years backs I suggested a quick getaway when we were living in California. I cashed in some mileage for the airfare and off we went to Vancouver for two days. Relative to the size of the country, we weren’t even dancing on its tip but seeing Victoria Island and experiencing the celebrated Butchart Gardens is something that remains a vivid memory.
