Welcome to my virtual canvas of travelogues, photographs, curiosities, musings and stories.

I was born in California, the child of Irish immigrants. I went on my first international trip when I was four and had a few more jaunts across the Pond during my childhood, traversing the bumpy roads of Ireland and flying across the U.K. countryside by rail. During those early adventures, the delights that flooded each sense with new smells and tastes and sounds planted the seeds of wanderlust. I’ve been fortunate enough to live in different countries and visit many others – often as a solo backpacker long before the invention of blogs and proliferation of digital media.

In between my sojourns, I’ve worked as a writer, a story analyst, a producer of stage plays, video games and interactive media. Long ago, I treaded the boards as an actress and before that as a waitress. I’ve managed talent for audio and video productions, and I’ve overseen editorial content and design groups for interactive media companies and freelance projects. I had an amazing time at film school in my youth, and later picked up an MA in screenwriting and digital media. I have raised a lot of cats, a couple of dogs, some sheep, five pigs, two horses and an amazing child.
